FAQs

We’re ready to answer any questions that you may have about Chateau Lanier. But take a look through these Frequently Asked Questions first for answers to some of the basic questions.

How do I reserve Chateau Lanier?

Everything is now done through our website. Go to the reservations form and fill out the form with your requested dates. Once approved, you will receive an invoice and rental agreement. Once you agree to it, you will be given the option to pay half the total up front to lock in your dates. You can use either credit card or echeck, and it can all be done on our website.

Are check in/out times firm?

Usually. It depends on whether there is a group checking out right before you arrive and whether there is a group checking in immediately after you. We are as flexible as the schedule allows.

Can I rent for one or two nights?

Possibly. Fill out the form with any special requests and we’ll get back to you. We typically reserve the months of June and July for “full week” renters, Saturday to Saturday, but occasionally we do have less than a week available, so please ask us if you are looking for less than a week in the summer, or fewer than 3 nights outside of June and July. We try to accommodate when we can.

Who do I call during my stay if I have a question about something?

Jeannie Copeland will be your concierge and host at Chateau Lanier during your stay. Once you have arrived on the property, she will stop by to introduce herself and make sure you have everything you need. Any questions or concerns about the house or grounds can be directed to her. She should be your first call for anything you need. She can also be hired to grocery shop prior to your arrival, or help with anything else you might need during your stay. You can contact Jeannie by phone or text at 678-630-5127 or jeannie@chateaulanier.com.

What’s the parking situation?

Chateau Lanier can park up to about ten cars max on the property. 4 or 5 in front of the house, 2 in the garage to the right side of the house and another few on the driveway by garage. NO PARKING AT ANY TIME IN THE STREET!

What kind of coffee maker do you have at Chateau Lanier?

We have both a regular coffee maker (bring ground coffee) and a Keurig (bring K-cups).

Do you provide toilet paper, etc?

We provide “starter” toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, etc. You need to bring your own to use once the starter amounts run out.

What is your sleeping capacity?

If every bed is used, we can sleep up to 30 guests. We also have a few rollaway beds that can be used if needed. A more comfortable number would be 25 guests.

Do you supply life vests?

While there may be some life vests at our dock, we don’t supply these with the property. We have tried to in the past but they disappear weekly. Please stop by Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club or a sporting goods store to get life vests that perfectly fit you and your children. If you rent any watercraft from Destiny, life vests are included. Otherwise, life vests can be rented for a nominal fee. Destiny can be reached at 678-934-1095.

Do you provide pool and lake toys and floats?

No. While there may be some at Chateau Lanier that you can use, please stop by Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club or a sporting goods store and get whatever you want for your family to use. Destiny may be able to rent lake toys and floats as well.

What games do you have at the Chateau Lanier?

We have ping pong and foosball, and we also provide the ping pong paddles and balls, foosballs, etc.

Do you provide off season rates or special rates for churches or 501c3s?

Possibly. Please contact us to discuss your situation.

Do the boats and jet skis come with the rental?
